We absolutely love the new article about Hotel Wales in Overnight New York, Terry Truco’s popular NY travel blog. We know Overnight New York is unbiased and quite honest, and we couldn’t be more pleased to read what Terry had to say.
A few highlights:
The roof garden, outfitted with teak benches, market umbrellas and superb views of Central Park (and numerous rooftop water towers), is a great place to catch a few urban rays, sip a glass of wine at sunset or nibble a cupcake from the high-end deli across the street…
If you crave space or are bringing the family, spring for a suite on a high floor. The prettiest have Central Park views, largish sleeping areas, sleigh beds and flatpanel TVs, with sofa beds in the living areas and hallways adorned with black-and-white photographs…
and our favorite:
We don’t say this often, but the newly spruced up standard rooms look better than those pictured online.
What a huge compliment!

A recent post on Manhattan Style discussed the many merits of booking a stay at Hotel Wales. Our upper east side hotel is just steps from all the museums and Central Park, making it a smart choice for artsy guests headed to the Whitney or the Met or our pet-friendly guests who want a scenic place to picnic or stroll.
The article was posted last week and highlights our great rooftop terrace as well as our super-comfortable guestrooms and dining options. Sarabeth’s is just an iconic place to enjoy brunch in Manhattan – and it’s right next door to us! Plus, Hotel Wales is a great New York hotel for those who are tired of Midtown attractions and want to stay somewhere more “local” and quiet.
Fall is the best time to visit Manhattan. Check out the New York hotel specials at Hotel Wales today and find out why Manhattan Style thinks it is one of the best hotel choices in the City!

In 1958, Leslie became America’s Sweet- heart with her lead role in “Gigi”, a film that won 10 Oscars, including best picture. And in 2007 she once again proved her acting prowess – winning an Emmy Award for a guest role as a rape victim on “Law And Order: Specials Victims Unit.
