July 1st, 2009

If you happen to be in the city right now, there are plenty of exciting NYC July 4th options this year. The biggest buzz is around the fact that 2009 marks the 400th anniversary since Henry Hudson explored our famed river. The New York Pops will create background music for what promises to be a breathtaking fireworks display, as Macy’s will have fireworks released from six different barges. The best views will be along the lower west side and the Jersey coast.
Have you ever taken a dinner cruise? Well, there’s never been a better time, as there are several July 4th cruises being planned around the Hudson – (certain to provide unrivaled views of the aforementioned fireworks.) Most include dinner, open bar and live music. There are even a couple of kid-friendly July 4th cruises.
Here are a bunch more NYC July 4th ideas.
